Our annual Camp Highlight Winter Reunion happened this past Saturday and it was a blast! The Reunion has become a staple of the Highlight schedule. Positioned half way between camp sessions, it's a chance for Highlighters to see their friends. After the parents leave, the campers slid back into the groove as if August was just yesterday.
We played Amoeba tag, Simon Says, Head's Up, and so many other games. The evening put everyone on the Camp Highlight version of "Nailed It!" before the inevitable pizza party. On Sunday morning, we had a group discussion about strengthening empathy and practicing compassion. Then it was the release party for the camp yearbook! Parents arrived shortly after and it was goodbye until the next time.
